Snake protection chicken wire mesh is made with a thinner wire and a smaller hole.
The mesh hole size between twist to twist is approx 13mm. Which can stop bigger snakes to get into a chicken cage or aviary. We also have a smaller hole stainless steel welded wire mesh that can be used in this application to stop snakes and mice from getting into the chicken cage.
General Warning Note: It is recommended that new galvanised wire mesh used in aviaries and pet cages be treated to remove excess zinc that could possibly harm the pets.
Shave off any zinc spikes with a utility knife or wire brush.
The mesh should then be scrubbed with a mild solution of vinegar (2 cups in a bucket of water), and rinsed with clean water.
